Let Me Direct You Elsewhere…

Are You Weak Enough For God To Use: I found this deeply encouraging and helpful. There aren’t many societies that praise weakness. Ours is no different. Whether you’re a pastor or a police officer, an on-the-go salesman or a stay-at-home mother, weakness is seen as a liability. Nobody wants to be weak. Strong is the name of the game.

The Most Important Thing My Parents Did: I think we can all agree that what he says here is true. Whether for good or bad, what spoke to us most from our parents is what they did when they didn’t know we were watching. When I tiptoed down the stairs in the morning, I would find my dad in the family room with his Bible open on his lap. Every time I picked up my mom’s old NIV Study Bible it was a little more wrecked than the time before.

This. Is. The. Day: What a great read this was. I think we could all use this reminder! It will do me no good to wish for another day. A different day. The day that someone else is having. This is the day that I’ve been given. This day, full of the mundane and the ordinary, full of the opportunity unexpected. This one, the one that’s beginning right now, is the day.

Ask Pastor John – Have You Exorcized A Demon? I found his story very interesting and I think it is a hefty reminder of Satan’s work and how it can sometimes manifest itself. I also appreciate his words of wisdom at the end.

Ask Pastor John – What Is Speaking In Tongues? I also really appreciate his answer and agree 100%. Although this is a hot-button topic, I thought I would share for conversation sake.
