monkimageWelcome here and thanks for stopping by!

I’m an introverted people-person with simple desires, like gardening, reading with a cup of tea and  decorating my home on a budget. I love the Fall and watching the leaves change color. But winter and Christmas time is by far the most inspired time of year for me. I come alive when the tree’s go barren and Christmas lights start twinkling.

My husband is a Children and Family Pastor at our fantastic church and we feel extremely blessed to serve in the ministry of Christ’s bride. Recently I took the position as Women’s Ministry Pastor at our church, which has been an absolute joy to fulfil. It’s also terrifying, lets be honest. But it’s a pleasure and a burden that we take very seriously.

Receiving children was a surprise for my husband and I after learning there was a good chance I would never be able to conceive a child. So every day I (try to) live within the reality that my kids truly are gifts from God. The blessing they bring us is immeasurable. Whenever I am sinfully tempted to think they aren’t enough, I quickly remember my infertile self and am brought back to thankfulness.

I am constantly in pursuit of God’s wisdom to get me through the day and this blog is a way for me to write about what I’m being taught by the Lord through it all. As my husband and I walk through the ups and downs of ministry, family and just regular life, we lean heavily on Christ and His grace that carries us.

And we are so blessed by Him.

I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord forever, with my mouth I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.” ~ Psalm 89:1
