Summer And Promises…

The sun is out and the air is warm. The kids are able to spend lots of time outside; running and playing. We go for walks, splash around in pools, go to the lake, climb playgrounds and run through sprinklers. All of this is done whenever we aren’t feeling too physically depleted due to the busyness of July Daycamps.

The summer season makes me think of God’s promises. His goodness in the midst of furious heat. The joy of watching my kids enjoy the outdoors and soak in pure blue sky get me through the nights when the muggy fog keeps me from sleep.

This is what life looks like for us these days…

His promises…

“He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” ~ Isaiah 40:29-31
